Algorithm Developer

We are looking for a software technical signal processor / algorithm developer to strengthen the research and development work of our advanced passive radar systems in the DWS-PS (Passive Surveillance) group's skilled team. We work in teams that combine software, computing, hardware, and signal processing. We develop systems that cover the entire chain from antennas and RF technology to algorithms and user interfaces. What kind of expert are we looking for? With us, you will be able to delve particularly into the research and development of algorithms and their real-time implementations in demonstrators and final products. Depending on your expertise and background, the work may focus more on algorithm development requiring deep mathematical understanding or the efficient implementation of algorithms using parallel computing methods. We are looking for a person who wants to learn to understand the operation of the implemented methods in practice, with real, measured signals. To succeed in the position, you should be familiar especially with signal processing methods related to digital software radios. We expect extensive expertise in algorithm development and experience with Matlab software and programming. It is considered an advantage if you have expertise in the following areas: - radar signal processing - communication signal processing - hardware-near programming - algorithm development and strong mathematical skills - radio technology - utilizing AI to support algorithm development Since we operate in both Finnish and English, we expect fluent written and oral communication skills in both.
