Practical Nurse

You will have the opportunity to do meaningful work as part of a 24-hour short-term care unit, where you will never work alone. Your Role We are seeking a practical nurse for the ground floor of Kurjenmäkikoti 2, located in the Kupittaan area. The short-term care unit has 36 client places. Kurjenmäkikoti is located with good transport connections in Turku at Kurjenmäenkatu 4, building 42. You will work with a client-centered approach and support clients' functional capacity according to their individual needs. As a practical nurse, your work includes basic and medication care according to clients' care plans, assessment of functional capacity and care needs, as well as implementing cultural and hobby activities. Your role also includes guiding students. Genuine presence and the maintenance of clients' functional capacity and resources are important to us. We utilize technological solutions and ergonomic aids in our work to ensure resident and occupational safety. Daily cooperation with relatives is an important part of our work. A valid LOVe medication permit, experience in elderly care, RAI expertise, and good IT skills are considered an advantage. The position requires good Finnish language skills. Eligibility requirements include a vocational qualification in social and health care (practical nurse) or an earlier school-level degree in the field, as well as valid registration in the JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
