We are looking for an early childhood education childcare worker for a fixed-term position in our Swedish-language immersion kindergarten. You will work in our toddlers' group with 1-2-year-old children together with two early childhood education teachers. In the toddlers' group, we speak Finnish, and in our immersion groups, we speak Swedish. Our kindergarten is a small, three-group facility maintained by Espoon kielikylpy ry. Due to the small size of the kindergarten, the entire staff knows all the children. We collaborate between groups and spend time outdoors together in the same yard. Our kindergarten has a large yard where children can explore and play together with children of different ages. The immediate environment of our kindergarten includes forests, parks, and a beach, which we utilize as learning environments in everyday life. As an early childhood education childcare worker, you will participate in full-day pedagogy. Together with the early childhood education teachers, you will plan and implement pedagogical activities that support the children's growth and development. You will ensure that children and their families are met with sensitivity and that you are genuinely present. In your work, you will witness the development of young children and the joy of learning new things. We expect the applicant to have native-level Finnish language skills, and good Swedish language skills are considered an advantage. Eligibility requirement: Eligibility in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Decree 753/2018 3 § and 4 §). A vocational qualification in education and guidance, a vocational qualification in social and health care, or another equivalent degree suitable for the position, which includes or has been supplemented by sufficiently extensive modules in childcare, education, and teaching. E.g., childcare worker, daycare worker, and practical nurse (child and youth care and education training program). The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act. The Communicable Diseases Act requires the assessment of tuberculosis infection risk for those working with preschool-aged children.
