Ski Patrol Worker: Ski Patrollers are trained professionals at ski resorts whose job is to guide slope visitors, prevent accidents, monitor and intervene in activities that threaten safety and comfort, and provide first aid when necessary. You work with other SkiPatrols to maintain and develop slope safety and, in the event of an accident, lead first aid operations with other staff. Providing first aid to those in need is an important part of your job. The main duties are maintaining slope safety, inspection work, guidance, and supervision in the slope area. Events and many other ski-resort tasks are part of your daily work. We work Monday through Sunday in morning and evening shifts. The role requires independent and bold taking of responsibility, the ability to perform physically in varying mountain conditions, and the ability to act in accident situations. In addition, good arithmetic skills and snowmobile handling are required. The following skills will help you slot into our team: initiative and positive service attitude; ability to work independently; courage to respond to emergency situations; sense of slope safety; good skiing ability; English language skills; at least a B-class driving license. You will stand out with: SkiPatrol training; first aid training; BikePatrol training; flexibility with seasonal variations in mountain conditions; knowledge of the Ruka area and resort operations; experience in high-altitude work and rope operations.
