BMS Package Manager / Project Manager – Data Centre Project Location: Groningen Contract Length: 12 Months Start Date: Immediate Working Pattern: 5 days per week on-site Language Requirements: English essential, French desirable Certification Requirements: VCA or ICT certification required Overview We are seeking an experienced BMS Package Manager / Project Manager to join a major Data Centre project in Groningen. This role will lead the delivery of the Building Management System (BMS) package from installation through commissioning and handover, managing multidisciplinary engineering teams within a fast-paced mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of the BMS package across a large-scale data centre project. Manage and coordinate BMS, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams on site. Drive programme, quality, safety, and productivity targets. Oversee BMS installation, testing, commissioning, and integration activities. Interface with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors, and commissioning teams. Coordinate system integration between BMS, HVAC, electrical distribution, and critical infrastructure. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards. Review technical documentation, commissioning procedures, and handover packages. Support project reporting, planning, and stakeholder communication. Manage subcontractor performance and ensure works are delivered on schedule and within budget. Essential Requirements Proven experience as a BMS Package Manager, Project Manager, or Senior BMS Lead on large-scale construction projects. Direct Data Centre (DC) experience is essential. Strong understanding of BMS/Controls systems within mission-critical environments. Electrical background preferred, with knowledge of mechanical systems and HVAC integration. Experience managing multidisciplinary site teams. Strong commissioning and handover experience. Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills. Fluent English communication skills. Valid VCA or ICT certification. Able to work full-time on-site in Groningen. Desirable Requirements French language skills. Experience on hyperscale data centre projects. Previous experience managing multiple work packages and large subcontractor teams. Knowledge of Schneider, Siemens, Trend, Honeywell, Tridium, or similar BMS platforms.
