Class Teacher

The City of Vantaa is seeking a flexible and team-oriented Class Teacher for Swedish language immersion education at Uomarinne Primary School in Myyrmäki. Uomarinne is a diverse learning center with nearly 700 students and 100 staff members, offering basic education alongside Swedish immersion, special, and preparatory education. The school operates as a ProKoulu, emphasizing values of safety, community, trust, equality, and respect. The role involves working within a multi-professional community and a grade-level team. The school focuses on co-teaching and a strong partnership between home and school. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive environment that values open interaction and shared goals to support student well-being and learning. Requirements include the legal qualifications for teaching staff according to Decree 986/1998 and sufficient language proficiency as per the National Board of Education's regulations (25/011/2005). Experience in language immersion education, strong interaction skills, and the ability to be an active member of a team are required. Flexibility, innovation, and the ability to work in a multi-professional community are considered assets. A valid criminal record extract is required.
