Site Foreman

As a Site Foreman, you are responsible for the schedule, quality and cost-effective implementation of the work phases in your area of responsibility. You lead occupational safety by your own example and ensure the safe implementation of the work phases. You act as the immediate supervisor for the people working in your area of responsibility, lead the activities of subcontractors and work closely with the site manager. Why YIT? What do we expect from you? * Education as a construction engineer, construction foreman, technician or other education required for the role or equivalent knowledge * Fluent Finnish; basic English * Readiness to move according to the location of the sites * Readiness to complete YIT's internal Occupational Safety Leadership training (every 5 years) The position requires contract expertise, leadership skills and good interaction and cooperation skills. Premises/industrial construction and site practices are familiar to you. The site foreman must be able to actively utilize the systems used by YIT in their work, so sufficient IT and digital skills are essential. Good Finnish language skills and basic English are required. Other qualities needed in the position are customer understanding, analytical thinking, goal orientation and implementation capability. As a site foreman, you should have a coaching approach and the ability to adapt to changing situations. We value expertise in FIDIC contract terms, but we also offer comprehensive training in the management of different contract types. The projects are located around Finland, so the position requires a willingness to travel. Previous experience in large projects is considered an advantage. What can you expect from us?
