Automation Lead Designer position at Imatra. We are seeking an experienced automation professional to contribute with strong technical expertise to industrial automation systems and act as an expert for our clients' projects. Responsibilities include taking charge of design and implementation of automation solutions, conceptual design, programming and commissioning of automation systems, contribute to system architecture definitions, provide technical support to project teams, and mentor younger designers. We value willingness to travel in the South Karelia region and collaboration skills. The role offers a flexible hybrid work model and opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities
- Lead the technical realization of automation design and automation solutions
- Create concept designs, programming and commissioning of industrial automation systems
- Participate in defining system architectures
- Provide technical support to project teams
- Coach and support younger designers
Requirements
- Electrical or automation engineering technician, engineer or master of science in engineering education
- Strong experience with Siemens TIA Portal (PLC, HMI)
- Knowledge of process control systems such as Siemens WinCC, AVEVA System Platform and InTouch
- Familiarity with common fieldbuses such as Profinet and Profibus
- Experience with electric drives such as frequency converters and servo drives
- Good collaboration and teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently
- Willingness to guide and support younger designers
- Willingness to perform commissioning tasks in South Karelia region
- Willingness to travel
