About the role

Good food makes everyday life better. We are seeking a warm, careful cook for Kanervakoti's kitchen in Espoo Westend for a permanent position. The role involves preparing and heating meals, making tasty side dishes, and baking for residents in the elderly care home. You will also maintain kitchen cleanliness and order. We expect you to work independently, have a proactive attitude, good planning skills, and of course a friendly, customer‑oriented approach. Strong communication and service skills are important as you will work with residents, relatives, and the whole staff. The position is weekday morning shift with a regular, predictable rhythm. Requirements: restaurant or pastry/cake‑maker qualification; Hygiene passport; fluent Finnish (spoken and written, at least level B1.1). Nice to have: experience in similar work and knowledge of cooking for elderly people. Note: safety shoes are mandatory in kitchen work and must be paid by the employee. Salary is determined by the Private Social Services Sector collective agreement (table wage G20 2449.58 €/mo – 2649.79 €/mo).
