In this versatile and meaningful position, you will have the opportunity to actively develop a linguistically and culturally responsible way of working within early childhood education. The work is based on the foundations of the early childhood education plan and the preschool education curriculum, with inclusion as a natural starting point. You will help create a safe, equal, and stimulating learning environment for all children. As a teacher in language and culture groups, you will work both as part of the children's group and as a pedagogical resource in a co-teaching arrangement that is not counted in the staff-to-child ratios. Your mission is to strengthen multilingualism, children's identity development, and equal opportunities for learning, with respect for each child's unique linguistic and cultural background. You will become part of a strong professional network and receive support from a broad group of experts in early childhood education in Kirkkonummi - including the growth and learning support team, the language and culture groups team, daycare directors, and other experienced experts. Eligibility requirements: Qualification as an early childhood education teacher according to Section 26 of the Act on Early Childhood Education (540/2018) and work experience in early childhood education. Additionally, at least 15 ECTS credits in multicultural studies, language- and culture-aware early childhood education, or teaching Swedish/Finnish as a second language (S2) are required. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract within 30 days of receiving the decision (Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children 504/2002). The position requires an investigation of respiratory tuberculosis as referred to in Section 55 of the Communicable Diseases Act. The tuberculosis questionnaire is completed with the applicant during the application stage (e.g., interview/selection). The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health's questionnaire and interpretation instructions are used as the tuberculosis questionnaire.
