Welcome to Havukallio! We are looking for an early childhood education teacher for a permanent position starting September 1, 2026, at Havukallio Kindergarten. Havukallio Kindergarten is located in a nature-rich and forested residential area with good transport links. Nature is an important part of the children's learning environment, and we utilize the immediate surroundings extensively in our activities. The multiculturalism of the area enriches our everyday life and brings different perspectives, experiences, and cultures to our activities. Five children's groups operate at Havukallio Kindergarten. The premises of our kindergarten have just been renovated, so you will get to work in updated group spaces and together with other staff build functional and inspiring learning environments. At Havukallio, we want to build a safe, happy, and playful everyday life for children. It is important to us to meet each child individually, notice children's strengths, and encourage and praise. Play is an important part of our activities, as is children's participation, interests, and wondering together. Our pedagogy emphasizes supporting emotional and interaction skills and children's language development. We want children to have the opportunity to learn, try, and succeed in a safe atmosphere. The pedagogy of the children's groups is supported by a broad-based early childhood special education teacher and a developer teacher. Our unit also uses the ProVaka operating model (Positively learning in groups in early childhood education). You will be surrounded by a competent work community. Experienced and professional staff work at Havukallio Kindergarten. It is important to us that everyday life runs smoothly in cooperation and that everyone receives support in their work. We help each other, and there is room for humor in the working days. Our unit also operates as a field kindergarten for early childhood education teacher students, so if you wish, you can also participate in guiding future professionals and sharing professional expertise. What do we expect from you? We hope for a sensitive and warm-hearted way of meeting children and good cooperation and teamwork skills. We value flexibility, a positive attitude towards development, and a desire to build high-quality pedagogy together with the rest of the work community. In the position, you will need good oral and written Finnish language skills.
