Director of Youth and Sports

The Municipality of Kolari is seeking a Director of Youth and Sports for a permanent official position starting 1.10.2026 or as agreed. The Director of Youth and Sports is responsible for managing the youth and sports services result area within the wellbeing, growth, and learning sector. They are responsible for the financial and personnel management of their result area and guide, supervise, and develop its operations. The position includes the duties of the municipality's wellbeing coordinator and responsibility for the municipality's wellbeing work. This is a supervisory and expert role that requires knowledge of youth and sports culture and the ability to manage broad entities in a changing operating environment. The eligibility requirement for the position is a higher education degree in the field of youth or sports, and a good familiarity with youth and sports activities is considered an advantage. Additionally, we value experience in supervisory roles, administrative tasks in youth or sports services, expertise in developing sports services and youth work, and experience in multidisciplinary network work. The terms of employment are determined in accordance with the Municipal General Civil Servants and Employees Collective Agreement (KVTES). A satisfactory occupational health certificate of health must be presented before selection. The position is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
