
Sustainable Development Intern
The UNDP Country Office in Côte d'Ivoire is working on the 2026-2030 programmatic cycle on issues of inclusive sustainable development, green growth, innovation and governance. The internship aims to provide a framework for students from diverse academic backgrounds to be assigned to UNDP offices, where their educational experience can be enhanced by practical work assignments. TASKS The intern will participate in the following tasks and responsibilities: - Support the development of investment plans related to Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC): data collection and analysis, support for research and formulation. - Contribute to the planning of the transition to a circular economy and the development of associated projects. - Support the development of blue economy projects. - Support eco-construction initiatives. - Contribute to the drafting of concept notes, project documents and presentation materials, and support knowledge management and coordination with stakeholders. - Provide general support to the team's activities and perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS - Good communication, writing and research skills; - Good sense of organization, time management and strong interpersonal skills; - Attention to detail and proven ability to work independently and effectively; - Knowledge of the UN/UNDP and commitment to the UNDP mandate is an advantage; - Ability to interact successfully with people of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs. - Effective use of Microsoft Office productivity tools. Language skills: - French and English are required; proficiency in Chinese is an asset. - Knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage. Education: Candidates must meet one of the following education requirements: - Be in the final year of a master's degree; or - Be enrolled in a master's degree; or - Have graduated within one year of a master's or equivalent studies. Field of study: Environmental sciences, sustainable development, climate, international development, circular economy or related field. INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS - The internship is unpaid by UNDP; living expenses and all costs related to the internship are borne by the sponsoring entity or the intern. - Interns are responsible for obtaining necessary visas and organizing travel. - Interns must provide proof of health insurance.

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master's degree or graduated within the last year
- Degree in Environmental Sciences, Sustainable Development, Climate, International Development, or Circular Economy
- Proficiency in French and English
- Strong communication, writing, and research skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
