About the role

Varjo is the world-leading provider of enterprise virtual and mixed reality solutions, delivering the highest levels of immersion, performance, and security for demanding industrial customers globally. Used by over 25% of the Fortune 100 to transform operations, Varjo's virtual and mixed reality look and feel as real as the real world, enabling training, design, and medical research in virtual environments. Founded in 2016, Varjo operates in over 40 countries with 200 employees in Helsinki and Washington D.C. Our multicultural team values diversity and innovation, working in English. We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join our Eye Tracking Team, contributing to algorithms and machine learning models that power gaze-driven features in Varjo's mixed reality products. The role involves algorithm development, optimization, data analysis, and working with real eye data, requiring proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in computer vision, ML, and sensor fusion. Responsibilities include developing and improving ML-driven algorithms, optimizing for low-power hardware, building KPI and testing pipelines, analyzing performance, and automating data pipelines. Candidates should have 5+ years of software engineering experience, strong C++ and Python skills, and practical experience in computer vision and ML. Knowledge of tracking technologies and camera hardware is a plus. The position offers the chance to innovate in VR/XR, with a low-hierarchy culture and international environment. Apply now! Many team members will be on holiday in July, so response times may be longer.
