About the role

We are seeking a full-time hourly teacher for the food industry in a permanent employment relationship. In your role, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and assessment of teaching in cooperation with other teaching staff. You will be responsible for the daily operations and development of the food industry sector based on your expertise. In this position, you will teach and guide future professionals in the field at the educational institution, online, and in other learning environments. You will guide students toward working life and further studies. In addition to teaching and guidance, your work includes, for example, duties as a responsible instructor, guidance for workplace learning, and cooperation with companies. The position may also include teaching units from our subsidiary, Kasvuesedu. We require previous work experience in the food industry. The applicant must have practical work experience in the production of both bakery and confectionery products. We expect knowledge of industry processes and up-to-date professional expertise. We expect a guiding and developmental approach to work and experience in working with young people. We value good cooperation and interaction skills, the ability to work independently, and ICT skills. We also value a customer-oriented mindset, a willingness to learn, organizational skills, and a positive attitude toward development. We hope the applicant is inspiring and has an innovative approach to work. The required qualification for the position is the eligibility of a vocational teacher in accordance with the Decree on the Qualifications of Teaching Staff (986/1998). The position requires particularly strong or specialized practical professional skills, and therefore those who have completed a specialist vocational qualification will also be considered eligible. For these candidates, at least five years of practical work experience is required. A person who does not meet the qualification requirements may be hired for a fixed term.
