About the role

The East Uusimaa wellbeing services county is seeking a PRACTICAL NURSE for a permanent position. Work begins in September or as agreed. At the start of the employment, the position is located in Sipoo home care. Are you a professional in elderly care and genuinely interested in working to promote the wellbeing, health, and social activity of the elderly? If you answered yes, this position is for you! Home care supports and enables the client's safe and good daily life in their own home. We work every day in two shifts throughout the year, and we have three regular home care teams as well as an assessment team. We use the RAI system for assessing the client's functional capacity. The focus of the work is the care, rehabilitation, and prevention of functional decline for increasingly elderly and frail clients. We offer you a pleasant working environment, the support of a multidisciplinary work community, and the opportunity to develop your own work and skills. Developing new operating models, strengthening staff competence, and maintaining a good working atmosphere are also among our focus areas. We use autonomous shift planning. Occupational health services are provided by Mehiläinen. Eligibility requirements include a degree as a practical nurse or a previous basic care degree, as well as registration in the register of social care professionals (JulkiSuosikki). The position requires good proficiency in the Finnish language. Proficiency in the other national language is considered an advantage. A driver's license and the possibility of using one's own car are essential in home care. We value experience working with the elderly and in home care. We expect an independent work approach, energy, and a positive attitude toward development. Terms of employment are determined by the Social and Health Care collective agreement (SOTE), and a probationary period applies to the position. The position-specific salary is 2870 €/month + possible shift and experience bonuses. The work is two-shift work. The position requires vaccination protection as required by § 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis screening according to § 55. Before accepting the position, the selected person must present a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care (741/2023). Submit your application for the position by August 23, 2026, at 23:59. Further information is available from July 24 to July 31, 2026, from supervisor Petra Stenbäck Andersson 040 185 6102 or petra.stenback.andersson@itauusimaa.fi Priority in filling the position will be given to employees terminated for production or financial reasons from the East Uusimaa wellbeing services county, provided they meet the eligibility requirements for the position.
