At Aspia, we stand with the leaders, teams and companies who dare to grow. Growth requires clarity, courage and partnership – and we are committed to creating the space where ambition can thrive. We are now looking for an AI Engineer to join us in building and scaling AI across Aspia Group. Aspia is an international group specializing in finance, payroll and HR outsourcing, powered by modern technology and deep human expertise. Across the Nordics, we help organizations simplify complexity so they can focus their energy on what truly drives progress. Role description: As an AI Engineer at Aspia, you will build production-grade AI and automation solutions that improve finance, payroll, HR, and internal business processes across our Nordic operations. AI is not the whole solution, but one part of a broader software-managed process. You will combine backend development, API integrations, data extraction, workflow orchestration, UI automation, and large language models to create secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions for complex business environments. You will work end-to-end from solution design to development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. The role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys building practical software where AI, business rules, integrations, and human approvals work together as one controlled process. You will work as part of a skilled Group Intelligent Automation team and report to the Automation & AI Engineering Lead. What we expect from you: Several years of hands-on software development experience, preferably with Python. Strong experience with TypeScript, C#, .NET, Java, or similar backend technologies is also considered relevant. Experience building production-grade backend services, automation solutions, integrations, data pipelines, or intelligent business process solutions. Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, authentication, data extraction, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and maintainability. Practical experience applying large language models, AI agents, or other AI-enabled components in real business applications, workflows, or agentic solutions. Ability to solve practical technical challenges across backend development, integrations, information extraction, and workflow orchestration. Good architectural thinking and the ability to design secure, resilient, scalable, and maintainable solutions together with business and technical stakeholders. Attention to detail and commitment to building secure, well-documented, maintainable, and production-ready solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to discuss technical options clearly with Process Owners, architects, business stakeholders, and technical colleagues. Fluency in English. Finnish, Swedish, or other Aspia country language skills are considered an advantage, but English is the main working language. In addition, you will benefit from: Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Foundry, Copilot Studio, or similar cloud and AI services. Knowledge of agentic workflows, RAG, hybrid search, context management, or document processing in production environments. Experience with process orchestration or agent orchestration tools, such as UiPath Maestro, Flowable, Camunda, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or similar technologies. Understanding of AI evaluation, testing, reliability, governance, security, data privacy, and compliance requirements. Experience from finance, payroll, HR, insurance, professional services, or other regulated industries. We want you to thrive: At Aspia, you will join a community where collaboration, curiosity, and care are central. We genuinely value each other and our clients. You will work alongside a knowledgeable team where trust, respect, and knowledge sharing form the foundation of everyday work. You will also be part of our Nordic growth journey – supporting and building the practices that enable it. We work in a hybrid model with flexible working hours, but we hope to see you a few days per week at any Aspia office Finland, preferably in Espoo. We have employee benefits that support health and wellbeing. Welcome to Aspia! We look forward to hearing from you. Please submit your application and CV including your salary request no later than Monday 31st August, 2026, using the link provided. Please note that we do not process applications sent by email.
