The Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county is strengthening its child welfare institutional care services and opening two new units in Veikkola, Kirkkonummi, forming the Lamminjärvi children's home. Both units have 7 special-level places for children aged 13-17. One of the units is profiled to care for children with severe substance abuse symptoms and the other for children with severe psychological symptoms. In addition to the child welfare service manager acting as the unit head, the staff will consist of UAS-qualified instructors, a registered nurse, basic qualification level instructors, and a shared occupational therapist for the units. We also employ a cook-food service worker who takes care of the units' catering, and cleaning services are responsible for cleaning, so the care and education staff can focus on the care and educational tasks of the children. As a registered nurse, your duties essentially include the care and educational tasks of the children placed in the unit as a member of a multidisciplinary team and as an expert in your field. Another significant task is to act as the person responsible for medication therapy according to the unit's medication therapy plan, who also manages the staff's medication permit processes as a receiver of evidence and exams. Additionally, the duties of a registered nurse include network work and documentation. As a registered nurse, you will actively participate in the development of your own work and professionalism as well as the operation of the unit together with the staff. You will work in cooperation with registered nurses in other child welfare institutional care units, building a bridge for children to substance abuse and mental health services. Eligibility requirements: licensed registered nurse The position requires an inspiring and motivated work attitude that respects clients and colleagues, good oral and written Finnish language skills, documentation skills, and a positive and interactive approach to work. Additionally, we require work experience from either foster care, psychiatry, or mental health and substance abuse services, as well as a B-driving license and driving skills. Experience in substance abuse detoxification and/or substitution treatment as well as psychiatric nursing is considered an advantage. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act. Those selected for employment will be asked randomly for a drug test according to the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county's substance abuse program.
