We are seeking a Technical Director for Ulvilan town in a permanent civil service position. The Technical Director has a broad and responsible scope, leading the technical department which implements and maintains civil infrastructure, water services, streets and parks maintenance, facilities for city units, catering and cleaning services, and oversees building and environmental supervision services as well as the property management of city-owned housing companies. The department employs about 100 skilled professionals. As Technical Director you lead the technical department, serve as the head of the department, are responsible for financial and administrative processes within the department, prepare decisions for the technical board, participate as a member of the city management team, and oversee the planning and execution of the city’s investment program. A suitable university degree is required and prior supervisory experience is preferred; prior municipal engineering, building technology, municipal administration, and experience with public procurements and project delivery are advantageous. A six-month probation is in place for the position. The selected candidate must present an acceptable health certificate before taking the post.
