Unit Manager

We are looking for an experienced and committed unit manager to lead and develop our community housing unit for the elderly, Ruusu! If you are a leader with nursing qualifications, a passion for the well-being of the elderly, and a desire to promote community, you may be the person we are looking for. The unit manager position is permanent. What are the duties of the unit manager? As the unit manager, you are responsible for the overall management and development of Ruusu's operations. Your work is diversely split between administrative and nursing tasks, with approximately half of the working time spent on each area. Your duties include: - Management and supervision: You are responsible for managing the unit's staff, developing expertise, and ensuring occupational well-being. You will actively act as a builder of a work culture aligned with our values. - Administrative tasks: You will handle the unit's finances, budgeting, quality management, and reporting. You will develop and monitor service processes to ensure their smoothness and efficiency. - Nursing duties: You will serve as the unit's nurse, responding to the nursing needs of our residents. You will plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with the rest of the team, ensuring high-quality and individual care. - Customer orientation: You will promote the participation and well-being of our residents, creating a safe and active living environment. - Cooperation: You will work closely with relatives, stakeholders, and the rest of the TampereMissio organization. What do we hope for from you? We expect from you: - A degree in nursing, management training, and previous experience in supervisory roles within the social and health care sector - Extensive expertise in the care and nursing of the elderly - Good management, organizational, and interaction skills - Ability for independent decision-making and taking responsibility - A service-oriented and empathetic attitude - Fluent Finnish language skills, both oral and written - Experience in home care or community housing for the elderly is considered an advantage What do we offer you?
