Early Childhood Education Teacher

We are seeking one fixed-term early childhood education teacher for the period 1.9.2026-1.3.2027 at Huuhkajavaara Day Care Center in Kajaani: At Huuhkajavaara Day Care Center, early childhood education is implemented through movement, play, and the magic of nature. As an early childhood education teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that the activities and pedagogy of the children's group are in accordance with the early childhood education/pre-primary education plan. You are responsible for planning the activities of the children's group, ensuring the systematic and goal-oriented implementation of activities, as well as the evaluation, development, and documentation of activities for the whole group and in small groups. You will participate in pedagogical development working groups at your day care center and in the planning, evaluation, and development of the common pedagogy of the entire day care center in cooperation with the whole work community. You promote activities in the best interest of the child, strengthening children's equality, equity, safety, and holistic well-being. The position is fixed-term from 1.9.2026 to 1.3.2027. Remuneration is determined according to the municipal teaching staff's collective agreement (OVTES). The starting salary for an early childhood education teacher meeting the eligibility requirements is €3,121.31 + possible bonuses. Eligibility requirement: qualification for the position of early childhood education teacher according to Section 26 or transitional provision Section 75 of the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). Certificates proving eligibility will be checked during a possible interview. In the absence of qualified applicants, early childhood education teacher students nearing the end of their studies will also be considered.
