Post-doctoral Researcher in Computer Vision

What your work will be like You will focus on research and the development of computer vision and machine learning methods for ecological data analysis. The work includes image-based and multimodal data processing, with applications such as plankton image analysis, sustainable forestry, wildlife monitoring, and animal re-identification. You will contribute to ongoing projects. Your work includes publishing research results, contributing to research funding proposals, collaborating with national and international partners, and participating in research group meetings and seminars. In addition to research, you will supervise bachelor’s and master’s theses and contribute to teaching in your field. Teaching responsibilities typically include approximately one course per year and are related to mathematical foundations of machine learning. You will be part of the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Laboratory at the LUT School of Engineering Sciences. The lab includes approximately 15 researchers and collaborates closely with international partner universities, such as Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (USA) and Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic).
