The Acute Team is responsible for the office-hour social emergency services for adult clients in the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county. The work is fast-paced and varied official work, where situations are assessed and resolved often within the same working day. As a social worker, you will assess urgent contacts and notifications in accordance with the Social Care Act and be responsible for assessing clients' emergency-type service needs. The work includes meeting clients at the office, via remote connections, and through home visits, answering the emergency phone, and making decisions regarding temporary accommodation. Additionally, you will handle urgent basic social assistance matters. In this role, you will work independently but in close cooperation with the rest of the team and collaboration networks. Success in the position requires experience in adult social work, social emergency services, or other similar social work; the ability to assess a client's situation quickly and make urgent decisions when necessary even with incomplete information; experience in preparing and making official decisions; good written justification and documentation skills; the ability to prioritize tasks in changing situations; cooperation skills, and a willingness to consult and utilize multidisciplinary networks. Eligibility requirements: Qualification in accordance with Section 7 of the Act on Social Care Professionals (817/2015). Those selected for the position/employment may be randomly asked to provide a drug test certificate in accordance with the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county's substance abuse program. We require the applicant to have experience in adult social work, social emergency services, or other similar social work involving the assessment of urgent client situations and independent official decision-making.
