Project Manager

Salla Adult Education Centre is seeking a Project Manager for a fixed-term development project from 1 September 2026 to 31 July 2027. The project will develop an innovative 8-season adult education model, establishing citizen skills as the year-round pedagogical framework of the centre. Key tasks include developing a citizen skills program, a digital strategy, a sustainable lifestyle program, and a village tour model to enhance accessibility, in collaboration with staff, residents, and stakeholders. Project funding has been granted by the Finnish National Agency for Education. Project Manager's duties The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the project. Duties include, among others: - practical management of the project and coordination of development activities - organizing workshops, training, and stakeholder meetings - collaboration with the municipality, associations, companies, the wellbeing services county, the employment region, and other partners - monitoring the project's budget, schedule, and goals - communication and reporting to the funder - coordinating the preparation of operating models and programs developed within the project. Eligibility requirements The selected candidate is required to have: - a suitable university degree - pedagogical studies - experience in the preparation, administration, or management of projects. We value - knowledge of non-formal adult education or the education sector - expertise in development and networking work - good interaction, cooperation, and communication skills - proficiency in utilizing digital tools and artificial intelligence - the ability to work independently and a development-oriented approach. Terms of employment The position is fixed-term from 1 September 2026 to 31 July 2027. The position is subject to a probationary period. The terms of employment and remuneration are determined by KVTES, and a 4-month probationary period applies. Original study and work certificates must be presented before assuming the position.
