Patria is an international defense and technology company with over 100 years of experience. Protected Mobility is responsible for the sale, offering, and delivery of new vehicles and vehicle systems. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled System Specialist for a permanent position in our Hämeenlinna office's Design & Engineering unit for C4I systems. C4I includes various vehicle systems such as radio, navigation systems, vehicle computer, camera system, and intercom system. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the integration design of our vehicles' systems. Job Description: In this role, you will design and integrate various systems into Patria's vehicle platforms according to different customer requirements. The role is fascinating due to the diverse system field and the vast array of technical details. You will work with: - Camera systems: Producing visual information. - Radio systems: Enabling efficient communication. - Information systems: Transferring situational awareness. - Intercom systems: Supporting local and external communication. In system integration design, you will collaborate with other designers in the organization, especially in the implementation of electrical and mechanical interfaces. You will act as the lead designer for sub-assemblies, but also independently in responsible designer roles. An important part of the work is reporting to customers and project management. You will participate as a technical expert with customers in different project phases and approval processes. You will work closely with system and component suppliers and support the procurement and project organization in decision-making. We are looking for experts with various backgrounds. You do not necessarily need direct experience in similar tasks, as we offer comprehensive training for the role. Success in the position requires mastery of systems thinking and understanding of product development processes. We hope for previous design expertise in, for example, automation, electronics, RF, or telecommunications design. What we expect from you: - Experience in design tasks: e.g., automation, electronics, RF, or telecommunications design. - Creativity and a solution-oriented attitude. - Ability to perceive the interactions of different entities: System of systems thinking is particularly useful. - Good communication and collaboration skills in both Finnish and English. - Ability to manage wholes: Important in the integration of projects and systems. - Understanding of 3D modeling. Considered an advantage: - Experience from the defense forces or other experience with similar equipment. - Radio hobby or interest in radio technology. - Understanding of electrical connections. - Knowledge of programming (at least able to communicate technical details with programmers and customers).
