About the role

Eneq is a Finnish manufacturer of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) equipment, delivering thin-film coating systems used in semiconductor, electronics, and advanced materials applications worldwide. About the Role The Equipment Assembly Technician owns the full end-to-end assembly of ALD equipment, from component intake through final system handoff, ensuring precise mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic integration. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is central to building high-quality systems that meet exacting technical specifications. Key Responsibilities Assemble equipment end-to-end, following engineering specifications and technical drawings. Integrate mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components, ensuring proper functionality. Conduct final system checks to verify assembly accuracy and structural integrity. Ensure proper alignment, torque settings, and secure fittings during mechanical assembly. Assist in calibration, sensor installation, and safety checks before system testing. Support Test Engineers in functional tests and diagnose mechanical or electrical issues. Maintain accurate documentation of assembly and testing processes. Follow quality control procedures and adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements. Participate in Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve workflow and efficiency. Collaborate closely with Engineers, Electricians, and fellow Technicians. Support onboarding and training of new technicians. What We're Looking For Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 4+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, or industrial equipment installation, gained specifically within a semiconductor equipment manufacturer in a directly comparable role. Demonstrated prior experience assembling ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) tools specifically, covering the full end-to-end assembly process from component staging and mechanical integration through final testing handoff. Required background in semiconductor, automation, or high-tech manufacturing environments. Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly manuals. Hands-on experience with tools such as torque wrenches, calipers, and electrical meters. Working knowledge of PLC wiring, control systems, and pneumatic components. Familiarity with ISO 9001, OSHA safety regulations, and Lean Manufacturing principles. Detail-oriented, strong independent troubleshooting skills, and a team-oriented mindset. Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, are required for this role.
