We are looking for one more permanent early childhood education teacher to join our team! Metsola currently has seven groups for children aged 0-5. Our day care centre is located in Tapiola, Espoo, with good public transport connections. Metsola Day Care Centre is a delightful and well-functioning log building that exudes a sense of novelty. We have excellent facilities for group activities, a lovely forested yard, and great outdoor and sports opportunities nearby! The Metsola work community consists of a large group of professionals, from experienced veterans to those at the beginning of their careers. We are a humorous, development-oriented, and supportive group with plenty of joy and laughter. We value each other's strengths! Metsola utilizes an assistant director model that has received much praise in Espoo, ensuring better support from supervisors for their staff. The assistant director does not work in a group but is a full-time supervisor and support for the staff. Your supervisor will always be there to support you, present in everyday life, and focused on positive leadership and staff well-being. They have also been awarded the "Diamond Leader" title by the union, as nominated by the staff. We value a sensitive and warm way of working, as we meet every child as an individual and focus on open interaction with families. During this academic year, you will be placed in a group for 2-4-year-olds. As an early childhood education teacher, you will be responsible for your group's planning, assessment, and pedagogy with the support of your team. Your team colleagues will be another early childhood education teacher and an early childhood education childcare worker. We offer the support of our mentoring program when you start your work as an early childhood education teacher. With the support of the mentoring group, you will become familiar with early childhood education in Espoo and learn to identify your own strengths and skills. At the same time, you will gain materials for your own professional growth and well-being. You will have the opportunity to discuss the joys and challenges of the early stages of your career with an experienced mentor and get to know other colleagues starting as early childhood education teachers. Are you interested? We look forward to your application! If Metsola feels like the right new workplace for you, apply now!
