Cybersecurity & Datacom Specialist

The role sits organizationally within Helpdesk but works horizontally across the business. In this role you will: provide network and security design input to Services project teams for newbuild and retrofit projects; act as the customer-facing technical authority for Sales and Pre-sales on cyber security questionnaires and tender support; feed regulatory changes into Product teams, and engage directly with customer IT/OT counterparts, including shipowner IT, class societies, and system integrators; deliver 2nd-level expertise on network and security incidents affecting NAPA Online and NAPA Bus and be expected to become the recognized internal authority on AWS configuration for NAPA-hosted services; The position is full-time and permanent, with hybrid/remote working options based in Galati, Romania; Education: Master’s degree in a technical field; Experience: 5 years of experience in cybersecurity and datacom; Networking & Network Design: strong expertise in designing and supporting network architecture; Cybersecurity: solid knowledge of security principles applied across industrial, onboard, shore, and cloud environments; Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: strong analytical skills for resolving network and security incidents; Windows & .NET Environment: working knowledge of Windows-based systems; Customer-Facing & Advisory Skills: able to act as a technical authority for customers, sales, and pre-sales teams; Awareness of IEC 62443 and IACS UR E26/E27 maritime cyber regulations is a desired competence; Full proficiency in English, both written and spoken; A plus if you also bring Cloud (AWS): hands-on experience with AWS configuration and environment hygiene; Data protocols & integration: REST / HTTPS APIs, JSON, XML; Industrial / measurement protocols: Modbus, OPC UA, NMEA; Scripting & automation: PowerShell or Python; Basic familiarity with Git/version control; Maritime / NAPA domain: ship onboard architecture and software experience; NAPA uses AI tools in daily work; NAPA values and culture section describing meaningful work, NAPA way of working, and trust-based leadership; Ready to apply and contact details; About NAPA Romanian office and global presence; The page also lists contact and company info.
