About the role

We are seeking detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialists for 6-month contract positions to support SpaceXAI's data center construction, expansion, and operations in Jacksonville, Florida and Conroe, Texas. In this role, you will play a key part in the efficient movement, tracking, and management of high-value materials and equipment (servers, networking gear, power and cooling systems, and other critical infrastructure components). You will ensure timely inbound and outbound logistics while maintaining high standards for accuracy, safety, and inventory control in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. These are hands-on contract positions ideal for candidates with strong operational logistics experience who thrive in dynamic settings and are committed to supporting SpaceXAI's aggressive deployment timelines. Contracts may include the possibility of extension based on business needs. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage the receiving, inspection, documentation, and accurate recording of incoming shipments - Coordinate outbound shipments, returns, and reverse logistics while ensuring proper packaging and compliance - Maintain real-time inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and system updates - Track shipments end-to-end using logistics tools and collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve delays or issues - Support material flow to construction and operations teams, including kitting, staging, and just-in-time delivery - Partner with procurement, facilities, and data center teams to align logistics activities with project schedules - Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve on-time performance, and minimize risks - Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental standards, particularly for sensitive high-tech equipment - Utilize ERP/WMS systems and tools for inventory management and reporting - Provide support during peak periods, including occasional extended hours or weekends BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 1+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or materials management - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with a track record of maintaining high inventory accuracy - Experience with inventory management systems (ERP/WMS) and Microsoft Office/Google Suite (especially Excel/Sheets) - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and perform physical tasks in a warehouse or data center environment - Valid driver’s license and willingness to work onsite in Jacksonville, FL or Conroe, TX with flexibility for extended hours as needed PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Background supporting data center, hyperscale, manufacturing, or technology environments - Forklift certification or ability to obtain quickly - Familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) or advanced tracking tools - Experience with high-value or sensitive equipment handling - Lean/continuous improvement mindset or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in cross-functional settings ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: - This is a 6-month contract position (with potential for extension) - Comfortable working in environments with noise and varying temperatures
