Cinema Projectionist

Are you enthusiastic about new movies and comfortable working with technical equipment? Are you a customer-oriented, precise, conscientious, and flexible team player? We are looking for a part-time, fixed-term employee as a projector operator and ticket seller for Altin sali for the autumn-winter-spring 2026-2027 cinema season. Work begins on August 31, 2026, and ends between April 30 and May 15, 2027, as Altin sali's cinema activities wind down for the summer. As a projector operator and ticket seller at Altin sali, you will be part of the team planning the movie selection, updating Altin sali's social media channels as needed, and independently handling movie downloads, preparations for cinema evenings, ticket sales, and the screening of movies, including closing the cinema doors. Working hours are 0-15 hours per week. The employment includes a six-month probationary period. We expect from you: - A cheerful and positive attitude as well as good customer service and interaction skills, as you are the face of Altin sali and the City of Ikaalinen's cultural services for cinema visitors. - An independent work approach, reliability, and problem-solving skills: you are responsible for downloading movies, solving potential issues together with the team, ticket sales, and screenings. - Experience in sales, cash handling, and cash reporting. - Flexibility, as the work involves evenings and weekends. - Language skills, at least good proficiency in English. - Good IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems. - Minimum age of 18 years.
