Sports Instructor

The City of Kajaani is seeking a fixed-term Sports Instructor for the Water Sports Center in Kaukaveden for the period 27.8.2026–30.5.2027 or as agreed. The duties of the Sports Instructor include swimming instruction, guiding water sports groups, swimming supervision, as well as tasks related to the planning and communication of Kaukaveden services. We value a customer-oriented attitude, interaction skills, and the ability to cooperate with various customer groups and the work community. Eligibility for the position is a suitable degree in the field of sports. Qualifications from SUH Ry as a swimming teacher and swimming supervisor, as well as previous work experience as a sports instructor, are considered an advantage. The selected person must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Act 504/2002 within 30 days of notification of the selection decision, and a drug test certificate upon separate request. The probationary period for the position is four months. Before starting the position, the employee must successfully complete lifesaving swimming in accordance with the regulations of the Consumer Agency. Working hours are 38.25 h/week. Remuneration is determined according to the Municipal General Government and Work Collective Agreement (KVTES). The work is two-shift work including weekends.
