The wellbeing services county of South Savo (Eloisa) is seeking two (2) instructors for fixed-term contracts at the Vaalijala Competence and Support Center in Pieksämäki for the period 31.8.2026 - 26.9.2027 or as agreed. The instructor's role is based in the Reimari unit, under which the Poiju unit also operates. Work may take place in both units. Reimari rehabilitation unit is a 10-place unit for the psychiatric and psychosocial rehabilitation of adults requiring special support. Reimari provides long-term and goal-oriented rehabilitation also for persons referred to in Section 32.1 of the Act on Special Care for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities or those with an otherwise increased risk. The goal is to find and support the client's own resources by providing support and guidance in life management and helping to find new ways to cope with difficulties. At Reimari, each client's opportunities to influence their own rehabilitation are taken into account. Community care principles are implemented in the rehabilitation. Rehabilitation is supported by a multidisciplinary team and the services of the unit's multidisciplinary team and functional rehabilitation. Rehabilitation is planned and implemented in cooperation with the rehabilitatee, their loved ones, and their network. Poiju is an institutional rehabilitation unit operating under Reimari, consisting of a terraced house-style unit with three client places. The terraced house has four apartments, three of which are client apartments. Poiju is a housing coaching unit for the psychiatric and psychosocial rehabilitation of adults requiring special support. Poiju provides long-term and goal-oriented rehabilitation also for persons referred to in Section 32.1 of the Act on Special Care for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities or those with an otherwise increased risk. The client is supported in practicing daily activities, using services outside the home, and finding meaningful leisure activities. The clients' resources and functional capacity in everyday skills, interaction skills, and taking responsibility are strengthened. Study and job opportunities are also sought for clients according to their resources and future plans. Eloisa offers a benefit for sports, culture, and wellbeing for employment contracts lasting over 60 days. We want you to feel comfortable and well with us. Eligibility requirements are a suitable vocational qualification in the social and health care sector or a previous vocational qualification of the school level in the field, as well as registration in the professional register of the Regional State Administrative Agency (Valvira). Expertise in mental health and substance abuse services or disability services where psychiatric expertise was required is expected. Additionally, sufficient oral and written proficiency in the Finnish language is required for the performance of the duties. The position requires vaccination protection as required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a health certificate regarding respiratory tuberculosis according to Section 55. A probationary period applies to the employment relationship. A person working with disabled people must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work in service relationships exceeding 3 months (Supervision Act 741/2023 28§).
