Social Worker

We are seeking a social worker for a permanent position in child and family social work due to increased client numbers and strengthened resources. Your duties You will be responsible for planned and goal-oriented social work with families with children. You will act as the assigned worker for approximately 50 children in need of special support and work closely with the children, their families and various partner networks. Your work also includes processing child welfare notifications and assessing the need for child welfare services. In urgent situations, you will work alongside the social and crisis emergency service. Your working area extends from the islands of Kimitoön and Pargas through Sagu, Pemar and S:t Karins to the rural areas of Lundo, S:t Mårtens and Koskis. In the future, the work will also focus on Swedish-speaking clients in the Turku area, so the role requires readiness to travel flexibly throughout the area. You will work according to a systemic approach in a multidisciplinary team. Weekly meetings draw on stabilising and trauma-focused family psychotherapy expertise. Familiarity with the LC client information system and readiness to use artificial intelligence to support expert work are considered advantages. The eligibility requirement is professional qualification as a social worker under the Act on Social Welfare Professionals (817/2015). Good spoken and written Finnish and Swedish are required.
