Fixed-term substitute classroom teacher - Loviisan kaupunki - Loviisa, Finland

We are looking for a cheerful and enthusiastic substitute classroom teacher for the period 12.8.2026–4.6.2027. The teaching load is 24 hours per week. The position is for a 4th-grade classroom teacher. The duties require sufficient subject matter expertise, a student-centered approach, and teamwork skills. Loviisa is a charming maritime bilingual town characterized by small-town idyll. The municipality's 12 comprehensive schools and two upper secondary schools employ approximately 150 teachers and 50 school assistants. Harjurinteen school, the largest school in Loviisa, has approximately 530 students, including pre-primary education, grades 1–9, and special education classes. Loviisa's educational activities emphasize language awareness as well as learning and school attendance support. Loviisa operates according to the UNICEF Child Friendly Cities model. The City of Loviisa takes care of its staff by paying teachers a basic salary higher than the OVTES salary scale and offering diverse benefits such as lunch and recreational benefits, sports groups, and free access to the city's gyms.
