We are Helsinki Shipyard – a shipyard that has designed, built, and delivered customized, high-quality passenger ships and icebreakers for extreme conditions since 1865. In 2025, we celebrate our 160th anniversary and are proud to continue our story in the heart of Helsinki, at the Hietalahti shipyard. We do shipbuilding from start to finish under one roof – from design and hull fabrication to equipment, interior, and commissioning. This makes us a unique workplace: you see your own handiwork as part of the whole and can follow how a massive ship rises in the shipyard hall step by step. Our expertise is in Arctic vessels, but we build everything from superyachts to multi-purpose icebreakers. In fact, we have produced about 50% of the world's icebreakers. What job titles do we have in production? - Area Manager (responsibility for named areas and their installation and commissioning projects, leading teams and coordinating the whole) - Work Leader (direction of daily work, supporting the team and ensuring production flow) - Work Planner (resourcing, scheduling, material management and streamlining practical work in production) What do we expect from you? - Suitable technical education (e.g. engineer) - Experience in supervisory or planning tasks from industry, construction or shipbuilding - Responsible and solution-oriented approach to work - Good cooperation and communication skills in an international environment - English and Finnish language skills; experience in the shipping industry is an advantage What do we offer you? - A position at a shipyard where the world's most demanding ships are built - The opportunity to see and learn the entire shipbuilding process from start to finish - Work that combines technology, internationality and a tangible result – finished ships at sea - A traditional yet modern working environment in Helsinki Hietalahti - Support from a professional team and the opportunity to develop your own expertise in top-class projects Interested?
