About the role

The heart of Pilke's early childhood education, childcare, and after-school clubs consists of over 2,500 professionals. They want to make every day a good day for the children. We value our early childhood education staff and want to be a good employer. In addition to our values, our operations are strongly guided by quality, cooperation, and encouragement. We are now looking for a childcare worker in early childhood education for Pilke's Pikku-Omppu daycare in Hirvensalo. The role is suitable for someone who wants to use their knowledge, develop and create new ideas, and in a personal way make every day a good day for the children and colleagues. Pilke's Pikku-Omppu daycare will become a language-oriented daycare with Swedish and Finnish starting in January 2027. This means that two staff members speak only Swedish with the children. Since the working language of the families and the daycare is Finnish, Finnish language skills should also be strong. Pikku-Omppu is a nature daycare, so we expect you to enjoy being out in nature. Pikku-Omppu is a small daycare with 25 places and two groups. The daycare is very cozy, they go on excursions several times a week and have a strong sense of community. We hope you have experience working in a daycare, are ready to take on the challenges that come, have strong Swedish skills, and want to be part of starting something new. We want you to have a strong pedagogical touch, a positive and active attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to meet children in an authentic way. We work in a solution-oriented manner and encourage our employees to try new things. Work at Pilke daycares is divided between different staff categories working with children so that everyone has time to concentrate on their own work and do it as well as possible. We offer our employees a pleasant and secure everyday work life, a positive working environment, and support for their work. As a Pilke employee, you also have the opportunity to develop your work, train, and build a personal career path. We are precise about the following: The qualification requirement for the position is a suitable basic education in the social and health care sector (childcare worker or practical nurse with a degree program in care and education of children and youth) or an equivalent degree, e.g., childcare worker or daycare provider. The person selected for the assignment must provide an extract from the criminal record in accordance with Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act. We offer you: - Monthly salary 2476.15-2677.64€ depending on your experience (Rest of Finland), - We offer support for education and qualification-granting competence in accordance with the 2030 qualification requirements, - An inspiring, flexible, and gentle operational culture where professionalism in early childhood education is truly valued, - A work community where we are committed to acting in the best interest of the child, - Versatile employment benefits, such as good occupational health care, outdoor jacket, bicycle, massage, and exercise benefits.
