We are seeking a Postal Carrier for our client in Jyväskylä. Your duties include delivering mail, parcels and other items by car, scooter or handcart. Your starting point and ending point are Jyväskylä city centre or Seppälänkangas, and the route may switch between these two depots. Typically, work takes place on weekdays from Monday to Friday, with some exceptions. Shifts start between 09:00 and 10:00 and the daily working time averages about 8 hours. The start time and route may vary slightly based on the amount of mail and the route. Mail is delivered using the company’s appropriately guided vehicle, including two- and three-wheeled electric scooters and handcarts. Routes vary according to the mail delivery model, and many stair moments in multi-storey buildings require good physical condition. We expect you to work independently, be proactive, precise and flexible. Applicants must have a Class B driving licence, a occupational safety card, and experience driving a car. Previous experience in similar work is not required, as the task will be trained. Throughout the entire employment relationship you will have the unwavering support of your team. You should be a cheerful, independent customer service professional who can deliver mail with a smile and communicate in Finnish.
