Mukkula Primary School is a school for grades 1-9 with approximately 650 students, located in the green district of Mukkula, about four kilometers from the city center. In addition to general education for grades 1-9, our school has special classes, special classes for demanding multidisciplinary support, and preparatory education for immigrants. Emphasized sports can be studied from the 3rd grade onwards. Mukkula Kindergarten and Mukkula Library operate on the same plot as the school. The duties include multi-level planning and development of the school's everyday life together with the school principal and members of the leadership team. The assistant principal serves as the immediate supervisor for school assistants and is also responsible for, among other things, the entirety of short-term employment contracts, device management, and afternoon activities. Cooperation with students and guardians is a significant part of everyday life. We expect from you a desire to be an assistant principal for the entire diverse school. We value an active and proactive approach to work and the ability to be flexible according to changing situations. You also have extensive experience in meeting students and guardians. Developing well-being at work is close to your heart, you are an organizer and problem solver, and a team player who values dialog. For applicants, experience with various electronic administration programs (e.g., student administration programs Primus/Kurre, DigiOne and personnel administration programs) as well as experience in similar positions is considered an advantage. Good cooperation and organizational skills are a prerequisite for the successful performance of the task. Experience in a similar position and acting as a supervisor, knowledge of the operating methods of basic education and mastery of the software in use are considered an advantage in the selection. In accordance with Section 2 of the Decree on the Qualification Requirements for Teaching Staff (986/1998), a person is eligible for the position of assistant principal if they have a higher university degree, teacher qualification for the relevant form of education, sufficient work experience in teaching duties, and a teaching administration degree according to the principles approved by the National Board of Education, university studies in teaching administration covering at least 15 study weeks (or 25 study credits) or sufficient knowledge of teaching administration acquired in another way. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract as required by Act 504/2002 before accepting the position. The person selected for the position may be asked for a certificate regarding a drug test. The position is subject to a 5-month probationary period.
