Ophthalmic Photographer

We are seeking a registered nurse or practical nurse for a substitute ophthalmic photographer position for the period 1.9.2026-31.8.2027. Your duties Three to four photographers work in the photography room on weekdays. Their duties include eye imaging examinations, recording data into the patient information system, developing imaging systems, and other imaging-related tasks. The Tyks eye disease clinic is located in Tyks A-hospital. The clinic is busy with a high volume of patients. Operations are based on multidisciplinary cooperation and smooth processes developed according to lean principles, where the patient is at the center of all activities. What we expect from you The eligibility requirement for the position is a degree as a registered nurse or practical nurse. Registered Nurse: Legal certification as a registered nurse in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994). Practical Nurse: Vocational upper secondary qualification in social and health care (practical nurse) or a previous school-level qualification in the field. We expect good cooperation and interaction skills in fast and short patient contacts as well as with other staff. To thrive in this work, you will need good stress tolerance due to the high number of patients. We also expect the ability to learn new things quickly and grasp overall concepts. Interest in camera technology, medical devices, and eye anatomy is required. Good IT skills and initiative will help you succeed in this job.
