Electronics Engineer

The Electronics Engineer will join ABB Distribution Solutions’ Product Engineering function, acting as a bridge between product development and production. The role focuses heavily on production support, electronics production troubleshooting, and participation in the production transfer of new products. You will help ensure production stays running and meets ABB’s high quality standards. The position mainly requires presence at the office and at the Vaasa plant, as mechanical issues require physical on-site inspection. Responsibilities include ensuring manufacturability across the product lifecycle, providing production support for electronics-related issues (production, suppliers, customers), productization and launch of new products and changes (DFM), supplier management and approvals, supplier changes and EOL management, defining and maintaining production test systems in collaboration with Production Test Engineering, owning and maintaining product manufacturing documentation, continuous improvement focusing on manufacturability, cost savings, and quality/process projects, and collaboration with R&D, production, purchasing, quality and component teams. Requirements include suitable educational background, relevant experience with digital or analog electronics, experience with CAD tools such as PADS or Altium, ability to use test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope), and fluency in Finnish and English.
