About the role

Would you like to design your own working hours or gain work experience alongside your studies? We are looking for short-term substitutes for gig work for the Central Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County (Keusote). Keusote provides services in the areas of Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen, and Tuusula. As a gig worker, you can conveniently book shifts through the Laura calendar and go on a gig when it suits you best. Gig shifts are available according to the needs of the units. Gig work is a great solution when you want to get to know the work in our various units, increase your expertise, or work, for example, alongside your day job or studies. We are looking for new gig workers to work in the following services: – home care units – housing services for the elderly – hospital services in acute wards, home hospital, and the palliative center – health center receptions – emergency reception – child welfare – substance abuse and mental health services – disability services, e.g., housing services, day activities, and supported living – as a personal assistant – in oral health care as a dental nurse and dental hygienist We expect and hope from applicants: As a gig worker, you must have good interaction skills and the ability to work in new, rapidly changing situations. – Handling substitutions requires social or healthcare education and registration with Valvira or required completed social or healthcare studies (practical nurses, registered nurses, public health nurses, social workers, dental nurses, dental hygienists). – In immediate patient and client work, vaccination protection required by Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis clearance of the respiratory organs according to Section 55 are required. – We require the presentation of a criminal record extract from those working with children and young people, the elderly, and the disabled. We check the criminal record extract during the interview. (Note that if you work with children, the extract must be more extensive). – In most of our units, valid medication permits are required from gig workers. It is also possible to complete medication permits through us. – The language skill requirement is good oral and written skill in Finnish (B1.1). – We require registration in the Central Register of Professionals of the License and Supervision Authority (JulkiTerhikki/JulkiSuosikki). You cannot work as a social and healthcare professional with us without legalization or title protection granted by Valvira. Student Social and healthcare students can work in short-term substitutions, even if they cannot yet receive legalization or title protection before graduation. As a student, however, you must have completed sufficient credit points: – Practical nurse student: Promotion of well-being and functional capacity (Hyto) completed. – Registered nurse student: 140 credits – Registered nurse student who can act in practical nurse gig shifts: 70 credits – Public health nurse student: 160 credits – Social field student (social worker): 140 credits Application and certificates We invite for an interview based on the application, so please fill out the application carefully.
