Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will be part of our Finance Accounting department and you will be responsible for the following tasks: * Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports (Local and US GAAP) * Perform account reconciliation; troubleshoot and analyze discrepancies * Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), tax laws, and internal policies and procedures * Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents; make adjustments, as necessary * Responsible in preparing, adjusting and closing journal entries * Audit, review and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records * Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions. (i.e. Customer Service, Procurement, Warehouse, etc.) and with external accounting service firms * Coordinating with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure the Financial Statement and Tax return comply with local laws and requirements Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or related field * 3-4 years’ experience in audit and accounting * Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * Capacity to work on multiple projects and deadlines * Capability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties; * Fluency in Italian and English * Very good IT knowledge, in particular Excel, Oracle knowledge is a strong plus.
