Director, SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) (m/f/d) Hybrid | Garching near Munich We’re looking for a Director, SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) for Amer Sports’ office in Garching near Munich. As we continue our digital transformation journey, we are establishing a dedicated SAP Compliance & GRC function within Enterprise Applications. We are looking for an experienced leader to build and drive a robust compliance environment across our global SAP landscape, ensuring audit readiness, effective risk management, and strong governance practices that enable business growth. This is a unique opportunity to define how SAP compliance operates across a global enterprise while leading a team of specialists and partnering closely with senior stakeholders across IT, Internal Audit, Risk & Control, and external auditors. What you will be doing SAP Compliance & ITGC Leadership • Own the operational governance and oversight of SAP IT General Controls (ITGCs) across the Enterprise Applications landscape. • Maintain the SAP ITGC inventory, execution calendar, control framework documentation and supporting SOPs. • Ensure all assigned control activities are executed accurately, completely and according to agreed timelines. • Monitor compliance execution quality and implement corrective actions where required. • Proactively identify compliance risks, control deficiencies and process weaknesses and drive remediation activities. • Escalate significant risks, resource constraints and execution concerns to Enterprise Applications leadership. Audit & Risk Management • Serve as the primary SAP compliance contact for Internal Audit, Risk & Control teams and external auditors. • Coordinate audit walkthroughs, evidence requests, testing activities and remediation discussions. • Review and sign off compliance evidence and control documentation before submission to audit functions. • Ensure audit findings, management action plans and remediation activities are tracked and completed on schedule. • Support a sustainable and audit-ready control environment across all in-scope SAP applications. SAP Access Governance & Risk Oversight • Oversee SAP user access governance processes, including Segregation of Duties (SoD), privileged access management and periodic access reviews. • Ensure governance standards are consistently applied across SAP applications and supporting platforms. • Coordinate access-risk assessments and escalation processes. • Support the continued evolution of SAP GRC capabilities and future identity governance initiatives, including cloud application coverage and SAP IAG adoption. Coordination Across Compliance Workstreams • Coordinate activities across ITGC, User Access Review (UAR), Privileged User Access Review (PUAR), access governance and audit workstreams. • Ensure timely alignment between compliance stakeholders, SAP Operations teams and business reviewers. • Manage interdependencies between multiple compliance processes to ensure audit readiness throughout the year. • Act as the operational hub ensuring transparency, accountability and execution across the SAP compliance organization. Stakeholder Management & Operational Governance • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with SAP Operations, SAP Security, Internal Audit and Risk & Control functions. • Govern compliance-related interactions between Enterprise Applications and SAP Operations organizations. • Monitor service levels and execution commitments required to support compliance obligations. • Escalate unresolved issues and SLA breaches through appropriate management channels. • Ensure governance responsibilities remain clearly separated from operational execution responsibilities. Team Leadership & People Development • Lead, coach and develop SAP compliance analysts and specialists. • Build a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous learning. Process Excellence & Automation • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across SAP compliance processes. • Identify opportunities for standardization, simplification and automation. • Enhance compliance procedures, operating models and documentation standards. Executive Reporting • Provide regular compliance status updates to stakeholders and executives. • Deliver transparency on control execution status, audit readiness, identified risks and remediation activities. • Support leadership in risk ownership and decision-making through relevant reporting and compliance insights. What you need to succeed Experience • 8+ years of experience in SAP Compliance, SAP GRC, SAP Security, IT Controls, IT Risk, or IT Audit. • Proven experience supporting SOX and/or ICFR environments within a listed company or consulting organization. • Experience leading governance programs, compliance functions, or specialist teams. • Strong track record of partnering with auditors, senior stakeholders, and global IT organizations. Education & Certifications • Master's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. • Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, SAP Security, or SAP GRC are considered an advantage.   • Track record partnering with auditors, senior stakeholders and global IT organisations
  • Knowledge of the listed SAP, access governance, ITGC and SOX/ICFR technologies and frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, executive presentation, coordination, planning and execution skills
  • Pragmatic risk-based mindset and ability to lead change across complex global organisations
  • Master's degree in IT, information security, business administration, accounting or related field
