We are looking for a rebar worker–formwork carpenter for a permanent position on new-build projects in the Greater Helsinki area. The role includes - Reinforcement work on cast-in-place and precast installation projects according to structural drawings: installing reinforcement mesh and ribbed bars, bar splices, fitting spacers, and checking the reinforcement before the pour. - Formwork: erecting system formwork and timber formwork, setting out and aligning, bracing the forms, and striking them after the pour. - Concreting: preparing for the pour and taking part in the casting work together with the crew. - Other site work as needed, such as moving materials, keeping the site tidy, and assisting with installation work. - You will work in a crew of 3–6 under a site supervisor. The projects are new builds and change every few months. Sites are located in the Greater Helsinki area: Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and the surrounding municipalities. What we expect from you - Motivation to do physical outdoor work year-round. - A willingness to learn and the ability to take instruction from both the supervisor and more experienced colleagues. - Care and accuracy. In reinforcement and formwork, the measurements are what count, and mistakes show up after the pour. - A valid Occupational Safety Card (työturvallisuuskortti). If you don't have one yet, it must be obtained before starting work. - A tax number in the Finnish construction sector tax number register before starting work. We can help you obtain one if needed. - Good teamwork skills and reliability. Considered an advantage - Work experience in reinforcement or formwork. Experience in these is a significant advantage and also affects pay. If you have experience in only one of the two, mention it in your application. - Training in the construction field, or unfinished studies in the field. - The ability to read structural drawings. - Experience with system formwork. - A driving licence and access to a car, as not all of our sites are well served by public transport. - A Hot Work Card (tulityökortti) or other safety or competence cards. - Finnish or English language skills.
