About the role

Would you be interested in working in Child Psychiatry? We are seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position at HUS Child Psychiatry, in the Day Unit for Child Psychiatry (Young Children). The day unit is located in Sörnäinen, Helsinki. The work consists of daytime shifts on weekdays and begins on August 17, 2026, or by agreement. The Day Unit for Child Psychiatry (Young Children) treats preschool-aged children and their families. The work involves diverse outpatient care in the day unit and in the children's own environments, such as at home or in daycare, working within a multidisciplinary team. During treatment periods, the nurse works closely with the child's family and networks. Knowledge of family- and network-centered working methods is important. Our unit utilizes Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) as part of treatment evaluation and development. We expect the applicant to have good knowledge of the child psychiatry specialty, strong interaction and collaboration skills, and an independent approach to work. In the Children's and Adolescents' Diseases result unit, we are committed to developing nursing care according to the Magnet Hospital model. It is important to us that our operations are customer-oriented, patient-safe, and of high quality. You will be oriented to your duties according to the HUS orientation program. We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract required for those working with children in accordance with Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993).
