Leading a FINAS-accredited research center, the Laboratory Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Lahti-based laboratory, personnel development, and advancing laboratory analytics. The role combines people leadership, quality management, and development of research and development activities at the core of circular economy and the green transition. You will oversee the center’s operations, ensure productive, safe, and high-quality lab work, act as a supervisor to a specialist team, and develop laboratory processes, analytical methods, and operating practices in collaboration with business, production, and R&D. Key duties include operational leadership of the laboratory, personnel development, maintenance of ISO 17025, quality control, development of analytical methods and lab operations, supporting R&D projects and business, and collaboration with customers, research institutions, universities, and authorities. A suitable university degree (e.g., chemistry, materials engineering, or environmental engineering), experience in managing laboratory or analytical activities, and a solid understanding of quality management in laboratory operations are required. Familiarity with accredited lab operations and ability to lead specialists toward targets is essential.
