Area Land Use Manager

We are seeking an Area Land Use Manager to lead the area use team within the new land use unit of Metsahallitus. The role involves managing the area use team, overseeing operational activities, and developing the business in collaboration with municipalities, authorities and commercial partners. The manager will lead specialists in area use and construction, coordinate planning and zoning efforts, and contribute to the sale and lease of plots. The position requires a suitable university degree, extensive experience in land use, zoning or real estate development, proven leadership of personnel, strong stakeholder and negotiating skills, knowledge of real estate contracts and real estate law, and commercial understanding of project development. Proficiency in Finnish and English is essential. The unit emphasizes sustainable land and property development, partnerships with municipalities and other stakeholders, and multi-site operations with flexible work arrangements across Finland.
