Maaniittu Kindergarten in Nurmijärvi is seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher for a permanent position starting September 1, 2026. The role is based in the Nurmijärvi church village, currently in temporary facilities shared with Sorvankaaren kindergarten. The teacher will work in a group alongside another teacher, an early childhood care worker, and a special education care worker. The location offers diverse outing opportunities to forests, libraries, and sports fields. Nurmijärvi provides a supportive environment with planned SAK-time, adequate staffing, and professional support for children's needs. The employer ensures dedicated time for preparing individual early childhood education plans (VASU), discussions, and documentation, including a specific 'VASU week'. Support is available from special education teachers, language and culture teachers, and digital agents. New employees receive planned orientation and mentoring. Requirements include pedagogical expertise, the ability to plan high-quality education, strong interaction and cooperation skills, sensitivity, and an innovative, community-oriented approach. Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements of the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). Graduating teachers are also welcome to apply. A six-month probationary period applies. A criminal record extract and tuberculosis clearance may be required.
