We are looking for a social care worker for the Koho project at the Tampere branch of the Salvation Army. The Koho project is a low-threshold group that meets weekly to listen to video lectures, have lunch, and share thoughts under the guidance of a social care worker. Each session includes a devotional moment. Lecture topics include everyday management, finances and debt, self-esteem, relationships and emotional skills. The goal is to help people find resources to manage their own lives. The Koho team operates as a small multidisciplinary unit comprising professionals, volunteers, and supported rehabilitees. Towards the end of the project, you will have the opportunity to train the Koho model for other units across Finland. Your responsibilities include organizing Koho training, directing the group, and providing individualized service guidance and financial decision-making. A significant portion of your work involves developing the training, designing and producing materials, and monitoring and reporting results to funders. The training materials are being finalized and an online platform has been built for participants and leaders. We particularly seek expertise in guiding challenging groups and preparing post-lecture peer-support materials. You will help finalize the online materials. We are looking for a good group facilitator and encounter worker who is comfortable building a website on an existing platform and who will responsibly manage project administration. You do not need to be an expert in every area; you can learn as you work, provided you are open to new things and able to work independently.
