Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a heavy equipment mechanic / work management deputy for a permanent position at Suomen Rakennuskone Oy's Vantaa site. Suomen Rakennuskone Oy (SR-O) was founded in 1992. The core of the business is to provide customer-oriented total solutions for earthmoving, industrial, and mining companies, including machine sales, maintenance, spare parts, and equipment services. Suomen Rakennuskone Oy is part of the financially stable international Sumitomo Corporation conglomerate. Your Role In this position, you will act as an experienced mechanic who, in addition to daily maintenance and repair work, supports work management and serves as a deputy for work management when necessary. This is a versatile role for someone who wants to combine practical work with more responsible tasks. Your duties include, among others: * Maintenance, repair, and equipment work for heavy machinery and earthmoving equipment * Fault diagnostics and solving challenging technical problems * Maintenance and repair of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems * Acting as technical support for other mechanics when needed * Assisting work management in planning, organizing, and monitoring work situations * Acting as a deputy for work management as needed * Ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work. Work is performed both at the Vantaa workshop and at customer sites, making the workdays diverse and varied. The Vantaa site has a close-knit team where you will work with experienced professionals. The site facilities are currently being renovated to be even more comfortable. What do we expect from you? We hope for: * Relevant technical education (e.g., heavy equipment, machine, or vehicle mechanic) * Strong experience in maintenance and repair tasks for heavy equipment, construction machinery, or similar equipment * Excellent technical expertise and the ability to solve challenging fault situations * Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems * An independent, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to work * Interest in work management tasks and readiness to take responsibility for operational smoothness * Ability to guide, advise, and support other team members * Good interaction and cooperation skills and a customer-oriented way of working * Good Finnish language skills and the ability to utilize equipment manufacturers' English documentation * Driver's license category B (category C is considered an advantage).
